What makes STA different?
Controlled delivery
The computer regulates the flow of local anaesthetic.
Pressure feedback
Dynamic Pressure Sensing® provides real-time feedback to the clinician.
Focused capability
The system can provide single-tooth anaesthesia when the technique is appropriate.
What to expect at your visit
A clear conversation before we begin, with opportunities to ask questions throughout.
Tell us your concerns
Share your health history, medicines, allergies and any previous reactions or worries.
Discuss the options
Your dentist explains the proposed anaesthetic approach, alternatives and relevant risks.
Agree before starting
We explain the steps and give you space to ask questions before you decide.
Stay in touch
Tell us how you feel during treatment. We explain the care to follow afterwards.
Your care starts with a conversation
We plan anaesthesia around your assessment and the treatment you need.
Feeling anxious?
Let us know when booking. Tell your dentist what worries you and what would help you feel more at ease.
Planning treatment for your child?
Ask us about suitable options for their age and treatment needs. We explain the plan to you and your child.
The approach is selected individually; not every procedure or patient requires STA.
A device does not replace personal care
The technology supports your clinician. Listening, clear explanations and checking in with you remain part of your visit.
Questions are always welcome
Ask about suitability, expected sensations, alternatives and fees. We want you to understand the plan before treatment.
Your STA questions
Does STA still use a needle?
Yes. It is a way of delivering local anaesthetic, rather than a needle-free treatment.
Can you promise I will feel nothing?
No. Experiences vary. Tell us about sensitivity or anxiety so we can discuss your individual care.
Will only one tooth feel numb?
Single-tooth anaesthesia is a capability of the system. The area affected depends on the injection technique and treatment.
How do I know whether STA is right for me?
Arrange a consultation. Your dentist will assess your needs and discuss suitable anaesthetic options.
Know your care. Plan your visit.
Clear, personal care
Your care starts with an assessment. We explain suitable options, alternatives and follow-up clearly before agreeing your care plan.
